Visit us at «Zurich's Long Night of Museums» on Saturday, 2 September 2023. We are open from 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. and offer a varied programme as well as culinary delights.

KULTURAMA Museum of Human Evolution
6 p.m. to 1 a.m.

6 to 10 p.m.
Workshop: Numeric Cuneiform
Learn to write the oldest alphabet in the world. Create your own tablet or jewellery pendant to take home with this cuneiform script. This workshop is held by anthropologist Sabine Frei.
Contribution towards expenses: CHF 7
Duration: about 20 minutes
Registration: at the reception of the museum - there may be a waiting time in case of high demand, as the number of participants is limited

6.30 to 7.30 p.m.
Explanatory Station: Toolbox of the Stone Age
What kind of tools did people have at their disposal in the Stone Age? Archaeologist Emanuela Jochum explains and answers your questions.

7.30 to 8 p.m.
Climate change: past and present
How is the weather different from the climate? How cold was it during the last ice age and what awaits us in the next hundred years? These questions will be answered and explained by paleontologist Dr. Thomas Bolliger

11 to 11.30 p.m.
Toolbox from the Stone Age
What tools were available to people in the Stone Age? This public tour is held by archeologist Emanuela Jochum who explains you more what kind of tools human used and produced in the past.

Evolution of the brain
How have our brains developed since the Stone Age? This public tour is guided by psychologist Raymond Grob.

All our permanent exhibitions and the temporary exhibition are open during the event.

FOOD & DRINKS
The Citron Rouge food truck creates crispy pizza boats that are unique in shape and taste. Refreshing drinks are available at the museum bar.

TICKETS
Ticket sales start in mid-August and will be handled online.
