Temporary Exhibition
Stone Age Experience Room
extended until 8 February 2026
Step into the interactive "Stone Age Experience Room" and discover how our ancestors lived and worked. Here, you can get hands-on and try out the craftsmanship of that era yourself.
Discover how simple tools were used to drill or grind holes into various materials and the different applications that resulted from it. Grind grain using an original millstone from the Neolithic period and discover how natural materials, such as plant fibres or wool, were transformed into sturdy cords, ropes, and fine fabrics. Try your hand at cutting with a flint knife and sewing with a bone needle, just like in the Stone Age.
Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of the Stone Age and experience firsthand the challenges and achievements of our ancestors.
