– From 9 am to 1 pm, the museum is open for schools and groups with guided tours.

– The permanent exhibition "How We Learn" is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm

– The permanent exhibition "Where we come from" can be visited on the 1st floor as part of the redesign. There, you can also explore the "Experience Room Stone Age".

The following offers can be made free of charge and independently during opening hours:

For a quiet museum visit, we recommend Tuesday to Friday in the late afternoon, Wednesday evening until 8 pm, or when the weather is nice.

Public events

Languages

For the permanent exhibitions «Where we come from» and «Who we are», you can ask for a handout in English and French at the welcome desk. An English- and French guide is available in the permanent exhibition «How we learn». In the temporary exhibition you will find an English guide.
Furthermore; we offer events in English or point out events with no language barrier. On the German-language website you can find all other events. Private tours and workshops are available in English, German and Spanish.

Age recommendation

Kulturama is designed for adults, teenagers, and children. For children, we recommend visiting from school age and with an accompanying adult. An adult companion is also required for guided tours and workshops. Family tours and special workshops for children are available. Further information can be found in our event calendar.

Food and drinks

A beverage and snack vending machine as well as a coffee machine and a seating area is available in the foyer.

Museum shop

The museum shop is located in the entrance area and is accessible without admission to the museum. You can also order selected items online.

Accessibility

All rooms are wheelchair-accessible, with the exception of the «How we learn» exhibition, which is located in an adjoining building (steps). A wheelchair-accessible toilet with a changing table is located on the ground floor of the main building. Further information on accessibility and offers can be found here.

Photography for private purposes is allowed only without flash or tripod. By entering the museum, you accept the house rules that are binding for all visitors.
